For Residents

OMHS Meetings

Monthly Old Mill Hill Society (OMHS) meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at The Lobby Club at 17 East Front Street. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Lobby Club serves food and beverage. Purchasing food or beverage is suggested (they taste good), but is not required for attending meetings.

OMHS meetings are led by the OMHS president, and typically consist of hearing about committee updates (for more information about committees, see the About OMHS page), planning for the annual Garden and House Tours, discussing any ongoing neighborhood efforts, and generally socializing and getting to know neighbors.

OMHS Membership

OMHS membership costs only $10 per adult, per year. Membership grants the ability to vote at OMHS meetings. Additionally, membership grants eligibility for historic preservation grants distributed by OMHS. While everyone (member or not) is encouraged to attend OMHS’ weekly meetings, the membership dues help us cover administrative costs, such as for accounting and maintaining this website.

Membership can be paid online here, in-person at an OMHS meeting, or sent to OMHS’ mailing address at PO Box 1263, Trenton NJ 08607. If paying online, there is a $1 transaction fee – otherwise, there is no additional fee.

Helpful Links for Residents

Historic restoration guidelines approved by the Old Mill Hill Society, and in compliance with other relevant preservation regulations are available here. The boundary of the historic district is here.

Residents of Mill Hill put together a Neighborhood Tip Sheet to assist with answering common questions. This sheet can assist new and old neighbors alike in answering questions and finding resources related to such topics as trash and recycling pickup, parking regulations, and the City’s noise ordinance.
