Garden Tour
For the last 35 years, Mill Hill residents open their unique gardens to visitors.
Gardens are big and small and the experience has brought in garden lovers, architecture buffs, as well as casual visitors.
More than 20 gardens and public spaces are open.
Come take a look behind the historic architectural facades visible from the street
to the manicured private sanctuaries and public spaces of the neighborhood.
Every year, Mill Hill residents open their gates to share the private green sanctuaries
tucked behind one of the city’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods.
This year’s garden tour is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday
in the very city where the tide of the Revolution turned.
Just steps from the site of the Battle of Trenton, more than 20 private gardens and public spaces
—from intimate courtyards to lush backyard retreats—will welcome visitors
for a rare behind-the-scenes look at the neighborhood.
Whether you’re a garden lover, history enthusiast, architecture buff, or simply looking for a charming day out,
the Mill Hill Garden Tour offers a unique chance
to explore the creativity and beauty hidden behind Trenton’s historic streets.
Come celebrate 250 years of American history where it happened
—right here in Trenton—and experience the gardens where liberty took root.

Holiday House Tour
The Mill Hill Holiday House Tour started 59 years ago and is Mill Hill’s signature event and a Trenton tradition.
Homes in the neighborhood display special decorations inside and outside their homes. Homeowners open their historic homes to guests, offering a mix of holiday music, refreshments, and insightful conservations. With the variety of home sizes, ages, and architectural styles, Mill Hill’s nineteenth-century streetscape is one of the most interesting between New York and Philadelphia.
Tickets will be available for pre-purchase online or can be purchased on the day-of at Artworks (19 Everett Alley, Trenton).
